Web demo release!
It's been a while! Ivy and I have both been very busy with life things that unfortunately have had to take priority over this project, but we're now back and more excited about it then ever!
As the title says, we've now released the web demo promised in the last devlog! We wanted to make this demo to allow anyone to play it without downloading any scary files from the internet, and as a small taste of what we can do. We hope you enjoy playing the few levels we have set up in this little game, now that a lot of systems are better refined and hopefully less buggy.
That being said, we've got a *lot* of changes on the horizon for the core gameplay and progression - we're looking into providing players with more 'emergent gameplay' and are very excited about the potential in this. Emergent gameplay is a big buzz word in gaming, all it means is that a bunch of simple mechanics combine to make complicated effects that you as the player get to explore. This does mean the gameplay in this demo won't really match up with what the full game will feel like to play, but we promise that will be for the better. Ivy will be going over some of these major design changes in devlogs to come, as well as talking about what emergent gameplay means for us, so stay tuned!
That's all for now! We'd love to hear what you think about the demo (bearing in mind things will be changing significantly before long) and any other thoughts you have around the project as a whole in the comments!
